GABRIELA was born from a Brazilian mother & an American father, always gravitating towards the assorted culture that surrounded her.  She was endowed with a proficiency in Portuguese, a language that was a rare species in the States. She quickly fell in love with the art of communication, so with an infatuation towards romance in the form of ethnology, she took on Portuguese's once-removed cousin: Spanish. 

 

WITH TWO FOREIGN LANGUAGES UNDER HER BELT by the time she reached college, her curiosity multiplied to become versed in the mentality of other cultures.  She craved to tap into the mindsets of different & diverse so that she could place herself on that same page.  This desire to understand the "why" of  groups to influence behaviors & attitudes led her to fulfill a double major in CREATIVE ADVERTISING and SPANISH.

WITH PERPETUAL PERSISTENCE AND PASSION, she helped lead ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS for Ocean Spray as executive board member of the JMU Advertising Federation. She also worked as a writing tutor for the UNIVERSITY WRITING CENTER (UWC) & was an editor of the JMU BLUESTONE YEARBOOK. 

 

GABRIELA CURRENTLY WORKS AS AN ASSISTANT ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE for OGILVY in Washington, DC. When she isn't juggling communication efforts, she builds up her BLOG where cooking brings joy, travel brings adventure, & life brings love and everything in between.  As she grows in her career, she hopes to advance as a multicultural marketing director, taking on life's new chapters with the same persistence & passion she's always possessed.
